August 2017

Whew. So much happens in in this life and it's so hard for me to keep up, other than on Instagram! Our land is changing, with each extra minute and so it's important to snap pictures of the yard, occasionally. The mound to the left of the chair is the first hugelkultur Jim put in.
Ian's stopped taking afternoon naps as regularly, which makes bedtimes earlier and easier, but cuts out that guaranteed quiet time in the house. He reads and plays in his room and in the play room while Owen naps and I take my own quiet time/down time/get-things-done time.
 More beach time.
Look at all of those eggs!! Incredible.
We planted our blueberry bushes.
Owen turned 18 months, somehow! He likes to carry the eggs up to the house from the coop.
We've had many a campfire and s'mores!
Peering outside to see what Ian's up to!
We visited Jim at work and grabbed lunch together nearby.
We find this dude perched here during quiet time.

We discovered the gem that is Wagon Hill Farm! It's a 139 acre farm full of trails and views of Great Bay AND very close to our house.
Jim and I went on a garden tour of one of the neighborhoods in our town. We snapped this for my dad...
Gramee & Grandpa visited us twice in August. The first visit included two beach trips, Seacoast Science Center, our garden tour date, and our first visit to Wagon Hill Farm.

Ian's been a huge help for our chicken chores! He helps to let the chickens out each morning and put them in at night.
The lunar eclipse happened! We only had about a 60% eclipse, but it was still fascinating and incredible. In seven years we'll be in the path of the full eclipse and that is quite exciting!

Some friends from Virginia moved about an hour away, and they came to visit us at the beach!
Blue on blue on blue. Owen loves collecting the eggs from the coop.
Ian and Jim made a top bar hive for our future bees.
We discovered a playground at the high school RIGHT across the street. SWEEET.
This family lived up the street from us in Virginia and they moved two hours away in New Hampshire, on the exact same day we did! They came for a weekend beach trip and we had so much fun and a little excitement, too.

A rare picture of me... diving into the freezing cold water. Thanks for snapping this Julianna!
Sweet goofball :)

Ian started preschool here! He goes two days a week and LOVES it, his new friends, and his amazing teachers.
All tuckered out after his first day :)
Our awesome library.... the story times are just as wonderful.

Seacoast Science Center is one of our favorite places.

Well, that's August.... haha... I'm so far behind...
