Chocolacoco Cookies!!

Well, I've never done a cooking post before. I've told you about things I've made, but never included the recipe. Perhaps it's time, eh?

Without further ado, I present some yummy cookies...

I adapted the cookies found here.

I suppose the name should really be something long and boring like this: Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip & Coconut Cookies. That would really give you an idea of what you're eating.

But how about the one below instead? Yup, I like it.

Chocolacoco
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 cups whole grain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 cups dark chocolate chips
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Then mix the sugars, butter, coconut oil, vanilla, and egg in the mixer.

Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. The dough will seem stiff and dry and that's okay! Stir in the chocolate chips and coconut flakes.

Drop tablespoon-sized balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet two inches apart. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly brown. Centers should still be soft. That's the best part of these cookies is that they stay soft and savory.

Enjoy!! Try with milk, if you can. Scrumptious.

Let me know if you try them!
